Ashara Ekundayo is an interdisciplinary independent curator, who is exploring indigo as both a technology and an archive, by looking at the myriad blues and how they appear in Black Diasporic history from West Africa and throughout the Black Atlantic.
Ekundayo is the Founder and Executive Creative Director at Artist As First Responder, a collective platform that utilizes exhibitions, curatorial residencies, public forums, and archives to center the work of artists whose essential creative practices heal communities and save lives. She currently lives between Detroit, MI, and Oakland, California.
