The Black Muse Art Festival is back!
Following our groundbreaking inaugural edition, we are thrilled to return to Benin City from November 7–10, 2026 for a robust second edition themed “For Those Who Astonish the Gods.”
Inspired by Ben Okri’s 1995 philosophical fable s , this year’s festival invites us into four immersive days of programming spanning critical conversations, literary readings, performances, film screenings, a major sculptural exhibition, and the debut of the newly commissioned Azagba Pavilion at the Black Muse Sculpture Park.
Together, we will explore a singular, provocative prompt: What does it mean to astonish the gods?
