Fixing How African Creatives Get Paid

Saturday, May 9, 2026

Creatives from the African continent are all too familiar with the difficulties that often accompany international transactions: delayed payments, hidden fees and costs, trust and fraud biases, among others.

Our forthcoming event “Fixing How African Creatives Get Paid,” in partnership with fintech platform Sznd, turns to these problems. The session will interrogate the systems underpinning cross-border payments, while considering what a more equitable and efficient future for African creative economies might look like. The conversation will also offer practical advice on navigating existing payment challenges.

Join us this Saturday, May 9th, 2026, by 11am for a discussion at the intersection of finance and creative practice. The event is free to attend, but spaces are limited and admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
