In collaboration with Masobe Books, we are hosting a special reading of “The Road to the Salt Sea,” the award-winning debut novel by Samuel Kọ́láwọlé, Nigerian writer and 2025 Whiting Award winner.
Set against the backdrop of the global migration crisis, the novel follows Able God, a hotel worker whose life takes a sharp turn after a violent encounter forces him on a harrowing journey from Nigeria to Europe. It’s a gripping, deeply human story of survival, belief, and what people risk to find a better life.
